When you provide us with any personal information - name, address, credit card number - it's done on a secure server. During your web communication with our services, you are using TLS (Transport Layer Security). This technique encrypts all of the confidential information you provide during your communication with us.
The server where your information is stored is protected from digital and physical intrusion. For maximum security of your personal information it is imperative that you follow the instructions given on the pages of the Event Management Website. Users who do not follow these instructions do so at their own risk, and should be prepared for any negative consequences. If you are unsure, or suspicious of any stage of your transaction, please contact our support staff at firstname.lastname@example.org before proceeding.
As with all secure server transactions, make sure that you are connected to the authentic site. You should make sure the URL at the top of this page starts with http. Your browser should NOT have given you any dialog box asking you to accept a new certificate (one indication of a forged site). Any personal information requested by this site is collected in compliance with section 32 © of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act. Only information that is necessary for the operation of the web site, processing of registrations, transacting fee payments and any event specific information will be collected. Any information collected here will only be used for the purpose for which is was collected and will never be:
Sold or distributed to third parties
Released to the public at large without the explicit consent of the individual..
Data Ownership & Privacy
The Customer is the exclusive owner of the data contained within the application's database (for example: repository data, contact lists, and so on) and can request a copy of the content of the application's database at any time. Go Big Event has no right to use or duplicate the data in any way, other than in support of system administration tasks (for example: system backup). Further, Go Big Event will follow industry standards and take all appropriate, reasonable steps to maintain the security of the data and protect it from unauthorized access from those both internal and external to Go Big Event. Go Big Event & its licensor retain all intellectual property and ownership rights to the application and the technologies used to build and operate the application.
Payments, Refunds & Cancellations
All payment transactions processed by Go Big Event Inc. will show up on your Credit Card statement as "www.gobigevent.com". Please send refund and cancellation requests to the Event Planner who invited you to register or to email@example.com if you are not satisfied with the response you get. All refunds may be charged an administration fee based on the terms that the Event Planner provides at time of registration. No refunds will be offered within 2 weeks of the event start date. Cancellation policies are also specific to the Event you have registered for, please contact your Event Planner to understand the terms of your event. If you cannot contact your Event Planner in a reasonable amount of time then please contact us by telephone or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Furthermore, this logo means that your Credit Card payment may have been processed on our Merchant Account. If this is the case then your Credit Card statement will identify your Event registration as charged to "GO BIG EVENT INC." Your Event Planner will have the capability to provide you with a refund as long as you comply with the stated refund policy which was displayed before you paid. Payments Processed By Event Planners
If your Event Planner has used their own Merchant account, then your Credit Card statement will identify them as the merchant. In this case, please contact the Event Planner directly regarding any question or issues as they will be able to assist you. You will be able to identify charges made to an Event Planner's Merchant account by the detail on your payment page and your receipt.
