When you provide us with any personal information - name, address, credit card number - it's done on a secure server. During your web communication with our services, you are using an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method of encryption. This technique encrypts all of the confidential information you provide during your communication with us.

The server where your information is stored is protected from digital and physical intrusion. For maximum security of your personal information it is imperative that you follow the instructions given on the pages of the Event Management Website. Users who do not follow these instructions do so at their own risk, and should be prepared for any negative consequences. If you are unsure, or suspicious of any stage of your transaction, please contact our support staff at support@gobigevent.com before proceeding.

As with all secure server transactions, make sure that you are connected to the authentic site. You should make sure the URL at the top of this page starts with https. Your browser should NOT have given you any dialog box asking you to accept a new certificate (one indication of a forged site).
Any personal information request by this site is collected in compliance with section 32 © of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act. Only information that is necessary for the operation of the web site, processing of registrations, transacting fee payments and any event specific information will be collected. Any information collected here will only be used for the purpose for which is was collected and will never be:
  • Sold or distributed to third parties
  • Released to the public at large without the explicit consent of the individual.

Payment / Refund / Cancellation Policy

All payment transactions processed by Go Big Event Inc. will show up on your Credit Card statement as "www.gobigevent.com".  Please send refund and cancellation requests to the Event Planner who invited you to register or accounts@gobigevent.com if you are not satisfied with the response you get. All refunds may be charged an administration fee based on the terms that the Event Planner provides at time of registration.  No refunds will be offered within 2 weeks of the event start date.  Cancellation policies are also specific to the Event you have registered for, please contact your Event Planner to understand the terms of your event.  If you cannot contact your Event Planner in a reasonable amount of time then please contact us by telephone or email: support@gobigevent.com.
